BURGESS & DIMMACK PREPARE FOR GT CUP DEBUT

RAW Motorsports former Radical Sports Car Champions Steve Burgess and Ben Dimmack will be making their GT Cup debut’s at Donington at the weekend.

The duo have decided to move their race winning Radical RXC from the Britcar Endurance Championship, to the GT Cup, which is run at the UK’s premier circuits over seven weekends.

“When we looked at Britcar again there didn’t seem to be many cars in our class to race with, so we decided to change and hopefully get more racing,” said Burgess.

The move also means a change of tyres from Dunlop to Pirelli and the duo tested with the new tyres for the first time at Snetterton recently.

“We have made no real change to the car itself, but I was able to set some quick times with the Pirelli’s, so we’re happy,” he added.

Unfortunately the races at Donington Park are behind closed doors, but after morning practice and qualifying on Saturday, they have a 25 minute sprint race at 14.05, followed by the 50

minute enduro at 17.20.

Sunday is almost a repeat with racing at 13.30 and 17.30, but with a huge capacity entry, there should be no shortage of action.
