After couple of seasons of Radical racing behind him, Ben Stone has signed for RAW Motorsports to contest the brand new Praga Trophy.
"I only collected the car this week and did a quick run in it at the Praga Media launch,” Stone.
Sharing the car for the seasons will be RAW chief and 2020 European Le Mans LMP3 Champion Rob Wheldon. Both drivers had their first test in the car at Donington Park (Thursday) in mainly damp and wintry conditions.
“I think it’s a natural progression from Radicals. Although it’s a closed car it has better visibility than I had expected. I already feel I am improving with the car and enjoying driving it,” said Stone.
“I hadn’t sat in the car before today, it’s a great little car. It’s quick but I am still learning it and looking forward to arcing it,” Wheldon added.
They now continue with the test programme in preparation for the opening rounds at Silverstone on March 12/13, where they will joining team mate Rod Goodman.
